A fun and light hearted dancing/performance company for young children.

Our lively set of youngsters meet once a week to rehearse performance material for two productions per a year!

The youngsters enjoy modern and street jazz dance styles and can perform anything from Beyonce and Britney routines to musical theatre dance numbers. The classes are designed to concentrate on improving body
co-ordination, balance, counting, lyric learning, improving facial expression, rhythm and eye contact.

The youngsters are split into three categories of beginners, core and advanced (each group meet separately) according to ability. It is the decision of the school as to which group each child is placed and not the wishes of parents/guardians. The students learn dancing skills, performance technique and character/role play. Students are encouraged to move up through the groups over time as skills improve. Extra rehearsals and classes are compulsory closer to show dates, each child receives a 5/10 minute break mid class.

Whilst the class is fun and very friendly we do require excellent communication from parents and ask that all rules for this class are upheld. Costumes for shows need to be provided by parents as and when instructed and the youngsters cannot be absent two weeks prior to an event if they wish to perform. The performances are always very well attended and of a large scale so early booking is advisable when a performance is on sale!

The young students must wear the CTS uniform and be present and correct 10 minutes prior to class start times. Students at the beginners young set would take a more diluted and simple role in the performances where students of the core and the advanced are given more of a leadership role.

The class is headed by Alicia Iman who has been in charge of the company for over 10 years. She is assisted by two principal students from Conservatoire and also the deputy stage manager of CTS. (All CRB checked, where required).

Fees are paid either monthly or 4 weekly via standing order. Cash payments can be made if preferred. An enrolling fee is payable at the first day of class as well as either 4 weeks or a months worth of advanced fees. It is in the course of the first 4 weeks that standing orders must be correctly set up.

Entry to Young Set consists of a correctly filled in application form & student contract. Parents are not permitted to stay in the class.

It is important that parents/guardians are pro-active in checking the school online schedule weekly for any extra classes as well as providing excellent communication with regards to future absences / planned vacations etc.

All 3 Young Set classes are currently on Sunday mornings...

Beginners Young Set - 10am - 11am
Core Young Set - 11am - 12am
Advanced Young Set - 12am - 1pm


Snacks bar will be open for 5/10 minutes in the middle of each hour for each group.
